Investigation of the Smoke Ventilation and Evacuation Strategies to Decrease Smoke Poisoning Risk by Coupling Fire and Evacuation Simulations

In this study spread of smoke from a possible fire in University building and the evacuation time occupants were simulated. Fire dynamic simulations (FDS) have been done for natural forced with different scenarios; at same time, also various scenarios exits building. While move through changing CO, CO2, O2 concentrations, Fractional Effective Dose (FED) was gathered to obtain results both simulations. FED evaluated poisoning risk occupants. According comparative results, combination that by fan all basement has lowest value. On other hand, depending on source movement, sometimes cannot use exits. Therefore, simulation separately each exit FDS results.
